Alright people lets get to the meat of this thing, not like anyone reads these things anyway.. FUCK… SHIT…. ASS…….. BITCH…… BARBRA STREISAND!!! See no one cares hahahaha. Well if you happen to have made it past this hilarity allow me to tell you the most common mistake at a wedding. Its where the seating chart is located!!!
Thats right… of all the crap that could go wrong the number one problem I see is with the seating chart. Why you ask? For some reason people have an idea that its smart to put that sucker right by the door. effectively artificially creating congestion where it does not need to be.
I see this mistake with newer planners or older venues where there is typically only one main entrance in and out. Newer venues have figured out its more advantageous to have multiple entrance and exit points not only for the guest convenience but for the staffs as well!!!.
When you put the seating chart right by the entrance you effectively log jam the people as they enter the party. Not always a problem but say it starts raining or its a zillion degrees outside… The last thing you want is that entrance door being help open by the line of people trying to get into the event!!!
Now how do we combat this in the age of oversized seating charts… Stop being so extra… thats right I said it. Heres the deal. No more Champagne walls welcoming your guests. Those are super baller but typically need to be staffed and 95% of even high end weddings are not prepared for this kind of service. Heres what you do… Multiple seating charts located near the back of the event space to force people to walk into the venue and not stay stationary near the entrance. This is made exponentially easier when you pair the rear located seating charts with a bar!!! People love alcohol and will find it at all costs!!!!
